Zunheboto, July 22 (MExN): The 5 Assam Rifles along with local police on Friday carried out a search at the residence of one Akaito in Akuluto Town, Zunheboto and recovered 890 bottles of codeine (kodex). The said drug was being sold without prescription to drug abusers, a press release from the AR claimed. In another incident, troops of 36 Assam Rifles along with police representative launched an operation at Saijang village, Peren District on July 21 and recovered 5696 tablets of Spasmo Proxsivon and 101 bottles of liquor from a house belonging to one Akhon, 28 years. The accused along with the recovered items was handed over to Athibung Police Station for further investigation, a separate press release informed.
