Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): The East Police Station, Dimapur, received a telephonic report from the District Hospital today regarding the death of a 32-year-old Manipuri man identified as Ngmba aged around 32 years (approx).
According to Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, Ngmba was admitted on June 10, 2025, and passed away while undergoing medical treatment.
“Accordingly basing on the information, the duty party rushed to the hospital and found the dead body was lying in Male Ward covered with a bed sheet with only adult diaper on his body,” the PRO stated.
He stated that inquest was conducted over the dead body and no bodily injuries were found on the deceased body.
“The cause of death was found to be natural dead as declared by Medical Officer while he was undergoing treatment and was suspected to be homeless beggar. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for identification,” the PRO added.
In another case, an unidentified elderly man, aged approximately 60-65 years, passed away while undergoing treatment at District Hospital Dimapur. He had been admitted at District Hospital Dimapur on June 10 and had expired while undergoing medical treatment, the PRO stated.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the Hospital and found the person lying in Male Ward covered with a red blanket. He is suspected to be homeless beggar. On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was kept at District Hospital morgue for identification, the PRO added.
