Newmai News Network IMPHAL, February 5 Atleast two Assam Rifles personnel were injured when some miscreants hurled two hand grenades inside Polo Ground in the heart of Imphal today around 5.30 pm today. The injured personnel have been identified as Warrant Officer Uttamkumar 52, son of late Nanda Bahadur and Manbahadur Limbu, 38, son of late Danvas Limbu. They are posted at 6 Assam Rifles at Keithel Manbi. The two blasts occurred simultaneously when security personnel were busy arranging things in connection with the ongoing 15th DGAR Sentinel Cup at Polo Ground. The two blasts occurred 10 metres apart. Top police officials including Director General of police (DGP) LM Khaute visited the spot of blasts.
