Two persons succumbed after meeting with a fatal road mishap in Chümoukedima on July 7. According to the police, the accident occurred around 7:14 am near the Nagaland Police Complex 1st gate. The two deceased victims were on a scooty when it reportedly came into contact with a truck (tanker). Both vehicles were said to be proceeding towards Dimapur side. One of the victims died on the spot, while the other succumbed in hospital. The police declined to divulge their details, while only stating that they were labourers.
