Two minors rescued in Delhi

Human trafficking suspected

  Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): In a case of possible human trafficking, two minors girl who went missing from Mhaintamtsi village, Jalukie of Peren district on April 28 was “found and rescued” by Delhi Police in the area of Hauz Khas Police Station on May 6, a Peren district police official informed today.   According to a press note from Superintendent of Police, Peren, their father had lodged a missing/abduction case at Jalukie PS May 2 and investigation was taken up immediately by police.   The North East Cell of Delhi Police was also alerted to keep track of the two kidnapped girls, it added. Consequently, based on specific information, they were rescue of the girls from Hauz Khas area in New Delhi.
  It is suspected that kidnappers sold the two girls for flesh trade to the handlers in Delhi, the police maintained. However, no arrest has been made so far.   In this connection, a special team of Nagaland police is being dispatched to bring back the two rescued girls from Delhi to Nagaland, the official informed adding that a thorough investigation will be made to nab the culprits based on the statements of the two girls.
