Two new cases take Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally to 179

Two new cases were reported from Kohima quarantine centre taking the State’s total tally to 179 as of June 16, 8:48 AM. 


“2 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 316 samples tested. All cases are from Kohima QC,” Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter. 


However, with 92 cases reported as ‘recovered,’ there are 87 total active cases in the state so far, denoting a 51.39% recovery rate. 


Information on Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard informed that out of 179 cases, 110 are males while 69 are females. Age group-wise, there are 167 people in the 18 - 44 years bracket, 6 in 45 - 64 years and 5 in 0 - 17 years age group. There is a single case among 65 - 74 years age group.
