DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The two policemen, who were nabbed along with two other accomplices for allegedly extorting money at gunpoint in Chumukedima on Monday, have been suspended. The two policemen have been as Constable Vesazo Chuzho, DEF Kohima and Constable Meyiwapang, DEF Dimapur. The other two accomplices were identified as Kamei Gangmei, and Yangkhumse Sangtam. All four have been arrested and are now under police custody. Both the Kohima SP and the PRO, Dimapur Police confirmed that the two police constables have been suspended. It was informed that a departmental inquiry, along with a criminal case will be initiated against the two policemen. Police further informed that the two others arrested are cadres of Naga political groups.
