Two top officials of H&FW retire; department bids farewell

Kohima, May 1 (MExN): The Department of Health & Family Welfare bade farewell to its outgoing officers, Dr. Sukhato. A. Sema, Principal Director and Dr. NM Kithan, Director (Health) on April 30 at the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima.   Dr. Watikala, Director (FW) and the incoming Principal Director, lauded the two officers for coming this far and reaching the goal in good health. She stated it was a day to rejoice and not be sentimental and a day to remember the past 35 years of hard labour and service that the two officers have rendered towards the department.  

Dr. Watikala recognised the two officers as very thorough and refined team players of the department with a true team spirit which kept them going despite whatever situation the department faced, according to a press release from IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare. She also congratulated the two officers for serving the department to the best of their ability.   Dr. Sukhato. A. Sema, Principal Director, in his speech said retirement is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a new life. He stated, “We should always learn to listen more, speak less, work more and have confidence in God and our target should be to achieve the goal of excellence.”   Speeches were also delivered by Dr. NM Kithan and well wishers from the directorate as well as the district offices. Dr. Yankho Lotha, Mission Director (NHM) chaired the programme, while Dr. Vikeyie Losu, Joint Director, said the invocation prayer.
