Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): On Wednesday, around 1049 hrs, telephonic information was received from Police Control room stating that one unidentified non-local male dead body aged around 50-60 yrs (approx) was found lying dead on the footpath of the new flyover above the railway track, Dimapur.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found the dead body. Inquest was conducted witnessed by an independent witness. “No bodily injuries were found on the deceased; the cause of death is suspected due to illness,” Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur informed in a press release. The deceased was wearing a dark grey coat, white T-shirt, red half pant, brown socks and camo boots.
In another incident, around 0820 hrs on February 21, telephonic information was received at East Police Station, Dimapur from a general public stating that one unidentified non-local male aged around 65 yrs. (approx.) was found lying dead below Flyover Bridge opposite Old NST Station, Dimapur.
“Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and ascertained the dead. Inquest was conducted over the dead body and no foul play established,” the PRO Dimapur stated.
In both the cases, on completion of all legal formalities the dead bodies were shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.
