
Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): An unidentified man, aged around 45-50 years, was found dead at Dimapur Railway Station on Monday, officials said. According to a written memo received by the Government Railway Police Station at around 12:20 PM, the body of the non-local man was lying near Post No. 20 on Platform No. 1.
On receiving the information, the duty party rushed to the place of occurrence. Inquest was conducted over the dead body, informed Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur in a press release.
Police said the cause of death is suspected to be illness and starvation. After conducting an inquest and completing legal formalities, the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur's morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
The deceased was wearing a black half-pant, without a shirt, and was barefoot.
Authorities have urged any claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police Station, Dimapur (Mobile No. 7085055021).
An unidentified man, aged around 25-35 years, died while undergoing medical treatment at District Hospital Dimapur on Friday, police said.
Authorities received a telephonic alert at East Police Station at around 5:14 PM regarding the death of the non-local patient.

After arriving at the hospital, police conducted an inquest and suspected the cause of death to be natural. Following legal formalities, the body was moved to the hospital morgue for post-mortem and identification.
The deceased was wearing a black T-shirt, black-and-white long pants, and black underwear.
