UAVYO annual sports meet ends

Kohima, November 23 (MExN): The 8th Annual Sports meet 2019 of Urra Area Villages’ Youth Organization (UAVYO) was held from November 19 to 21 last.

Thrilongse Sangtam, President Urra Area Village Union graced the sports meet as the valedictory speaker.

In his speech, he encouraged the unit teams to be more united and strife for greater success by exposing their talents to achieve greater in sport's.

In the first men's volleyball final, Razhaphe Basa sealed the victory against Diezephe village.

Diezephe village won the women volleyball final against Razhaphe Basa.

Urra village bagged the football champion of 8th UAVYO Annual Sports meet scoring 5-0 against Razhaphe village.

The programme was chaired by Kenny Nakhro, V.P. UAVYO while vote of thanks was proposed by UAVYO finance secretary Savizo.

He thanked donors K.K Rio, Khrüto Khamo, Mhaseo Dozo, Yolise Thungru, Mary Chiesotsu, Khova Range.

Müdozhoi Shijoh, president, UAVYO informed d that the  9th Annual Sports meet 2020 will be held at Urra village.
