Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): The 10th Foundation Day of United Baptist Churches North East India (UBCANEI) was observed at United Baptist Church, Midland Dimapur on Friday.
Executive Secretary of UBCANEI, L. Hevuto Awomi, who was the speaker, spoke about the inception of the association with a vision to reach out to the people with gospel. Quoting 1st Corinthians 15:10 and 1st Thessalonians 5:10-11, he encouraged the leaders of the churches present at the programme to focus on what God has gifted them and to make good use of them for the glory of God’s Kingdom. He also preached based on the life of apostle Paul – how God used him for a purpose, said a press release.
Rev. YT Lotha, council president, UBCANEI offered a prayer for the association, while Akheto Achumi, executive board member, UBCANEI exhorted the congregation. Moses T. Fithu, finance secretary, UBCANEI, led the programme, Enny Thungjamo, pastor, UBC Kuhuboto said invocation prayer, Er. Nizal Tepa, executive board member, UBCANEI welcomed the delegates. Akhala Sharma, women chairperson, UBCANEI said offertory prayer and Rev. Samuel Chishi, senior pastor, UBC Naharbari pronounced the benediction.
Meanwhile, UBCANEI has thanked all the churches under the association that participated in the 60 hours chain of prayer which concluded on Friday.
