
Jirhat, February 28 (MExN): The General Manager of UCO Bank Shashi Kant Kumar, visited Tezpur Centre of UCO Bank Jorhat Zone on February 28.
UCO Bank is organizing Resource, MSME and Agriculture Carnival campaign presently to enhance the business of the customers in a timely manner. Under this campaign, loans are being provided to eligible new and existing customers as per their requirement so that they can expand their business as well as play an important role in the development of the country by creating employment for the youth.
The programme was organised at NERIWALM (North Eastern Regional Water and Land Management Institute) in Tezpur city. It started with Mangalacharan followed by lighting of the auspicious lamp. Narendra Pratap Singh, Zonal Manager, UCO Bank delivered the welcome address. Singh said that under the ongoing campaign, loan amounting more than Rs 25 crore has been sanctioned to 520 beneficiaries by Jorhat Zone till now.
The General Manager in his address said that at present, UCO Bank has launched new deposit and loan products to empower women further, in which additional facilities are being provided to the customers. “Our bank is always ready to serve the customers and if any improvement is required in our customer-friendly product, it will be done on priority basis by the Head Office. Every possible support will be given to our customers from the Head Office level also,” he said.
On this occasion, the customers who availed the loan facility under MSME and Agriculture Carnival Campaign were delivered the sanction letter by the General Manager. Bank Mitras who played an important role in the development of the Bank and the society were also honoured and awarded by the General Manager.
Zonal Manager of UCO Bank, Jorhat Zone, Narendra Pratap Singh, Deputy Zonal Head Ashok Kumar Gupta, Lead District Manager of Sonitpur Acharya Sonowal, Head of MSME and Agriculture Hub Amit Kumar, DDM of NABARD Suman Chatterjee, all the branch managers of Sonitpur (Tezpur) and nearby areas and staff members of the Zonal Office were present.
