An awareness programme on UDYAM and FSSAI registration under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme was organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce in collaboration with the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Limited (NIDC) at Youth Hall, Zunheboto on June 27.
Delivering the welcome address, Er N Toky Chishi, General Manager of District Industries Centre (DIC) Zunheboto, highlighted the importance of FSSAI registration. He informed attendees that FSSAI registration is now conducted online and that operating without it is a punishable offense. He also noted that Zunheboto falls under the jurisdiction of Mokokchung and that any amount spent during registration will be directly credited to the applicant’s bank account.
Phutovi, Financial Analyst for RAMP, provided an in-depth explanation of UDYAM registration, including eligibility criteria and its benefits. He stressed that individuals possessing a valid UDYAM certificate would be eligible for various financial assistance schemes and loans.
Dr Gihuka Chishi, Medical Officer, elaborated on the significance and procedures related to FSSAI registration, particularly for food business operators.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ikupu Tuccu, Inspector, DIC Zunheboto, followed by on-the-spot registration for both UDYAM and FSSAI.
