Tuensang, September 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Alem Jongshi has notified to all arms license holders whose arms licenses were issued from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang but yet to generate Unique Identification Number (UIN) that the exercise for generation of UIN has been extended till March 31, 2017.
Therefore, all arms license holders concerned have been instructed to get the UIN generated at the earliest from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang.
This also supersedes the DC, Tuensang office circular dated July 26, 2016. Therefore, the arms license holders who had deposited their arms at the police stations can retrieve them by providing the necessary documents.
The DC further reminded that arms licenses without UIN will be rendered invalid. All concerned arms license holders have been requested to treat this notification seriously in order to avoid any inconvenience in the future.
