Nagaland Women Resources Development & Horticulture Minister Salhoutuonuo Kruse today called upon the electorates of Midland colony, Kohima to vote for development in the upcoming ULB Election 2024 scheduled for June 26.
Addressing the campaign rally in support of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Kekhrieselhou Angami (Neiu Metha) for Ward 9-Midland here today at APO Hall, the Minister requested the electorates to stay connected to the ruling party (NDPP) to access the developmental packages. “Let us all vote for development,” she said and added, “We will work together to develop the colony.”
In his address, Neiu said that if elected, he will exercise close coordination with the state government for the developmental and welfare activities. Neiu announced that he wanted to make Midland a model colony and to constitute a planning board for holistic development of the colony. Neiu said that he will give top priority in the areas of youth and women empowerment, health, education and road sector and to promote sustainable development.
Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, advisor to Chief Minister and chairman Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board in his address assured “We will give him a good position in the formation of the municipal body.”
Neivikuolie Khatsu, General Secretary NDPP (Central), Prasielie Pienyü, president NDPP Kohima region and chairman NHHDCL, Govt of Nagaland also addressed the rally while Pethasetuo Metha spoke on behalf of candidate family. Earlier, the rally was chaired by Victor Sogotsu while Atanu Theyo delivered welcome address. Vote of thanks was proposed by Madi Koso, Midland Unit, NDPP.’
