ULB Election: Midland Panchayat organises common platform

The Midland Panchayat, Kohima today organised a common platform for the candidates of ULB Elections 2024 from Ward- 9 Midland, Kohima.

Three candidates are in fray for June 26 polls in this Ward- 9. It includes; Kekhrieselhou Angami (NDPP), Atou Liezietsu (Independent) and Neikeleno Zhasa (Independent). During the common platform held at APO Hall, Kohima, the candidates shared their concern and priorities for development of the colony in health, education, water, sanitation and electricity sectors.

Padma Shri Neidonuo Angami, a resident of Midland also spoke at the programme and called for peaceful election.

Meanwhile, Midland Panchayat General Secretary Toso Thaprii informed that no candidate(s) shall be allowed to set-up camp in the sector henceforth.

From June 23, besides official paper works, gathering and feasting will not be allowed within the colony.

He also informed that Model Code of Conduct (MCC) will be enforced from June 24 and the panchayat will enforce no gatherings, feastings, canvassing etc.

The programme was chaired by Midland Panchayat chairman, Kopelo Krome.
