Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) announced five candidates in the first phase for the upcoming urban local bodies (ULBs) elections for the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), scheduled for June 26.
The first phase included three candidates in reserved category– Ward 7, 10 and 19. The other two are from general category – Ward 11 and 23.
The ticket distribution event was held at the State Office, Limar Ki complex, Walford Road, Bank Colony, Dimapur. Chaired by Audrey Mahung, President of Mahila NPP Nagaland State, the tickets were distributed by State President A Nyamnyei Konyak. The event was attended by state executives, well-wishers, and party legislator KipiliSangtam, who later delivered the vote of thanks.
List of NPP candidates for DMC: Nikali Sumi Chophi; Toli Achumi; Yangertoshi Ao; Jonathan Yepthomi; and Kughali Chishi.
