ULB Elections 2024: Ward 17 NDPP candidate Khrielievi appeal electorates

The dedication and blessing cum kick off programme of Khrielievi Chiisi, NDPP candidate for ULB election 2024 from Ward 17 under Kohima Municipal Council took place today at AEF Council Hall Junction, Kohima.

Ward  No. 17 consists of Agri, Forest, Mewibogei, Electrical and Agri-Farm Colony.

Speaking at the programme organised by Upper Agri Panchayat, Chiisi made a fervent appeal to the people to give him the privilege to serve the colony. With his slogan “Equality and justice  to all,” Chiisi announced that he will build a system in the colony that will work for everyone in the field of inclusive development, quality public service, healthcare and social services. Chiisi, former president of Angami Youth Organization and current political advisor to minister for women resources development & horticulture said he believes in the power of people to bring about change and urged the people to support him for the vision of a more just and equal society.

In the developmental sector, he said the Colony is facing a critical parking problem.

For this, Chiisi assured that he will do his best to develop the link road and footpath accordingly. “I endeavour for everyone to have the same rights and opportunities in breaking down barriers that hold people back owing to their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socio-economic status. In a nutshell creating an inclusive society where diversity is celebrated, not feared,” he stated.

“We can strive for a vision where justice is not just an aspiration, but a reality. Together, we can build a society where every person is valued and has the opportunity to thrive, he stated.

Reminding that he cannot do it alone, Chiisi stated “I need your support, your voice, and your vote.” The programme also witnessed short speeches from Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, advisor for school education and SCERT, President NDPP, 9th Kohima town A/C, President NDPP Kohima region, Khrienuo from Agri Farm and representative from Upper Agri Youth Organization.

The programme was led by Imchadila Changkiri while welcome address was delivered by Mhasisalie Solo, chairman Upper Agri Panchayat. Vote of thanks was proposed by Akum Jamir, General Secretary, Upper Agri Panchayat.
