Kohima, June 7 (MExN): A training and coordination meeting was held for officials appointed to oversee the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) Elections in Kohima district on June 7. The meeting held at DC Conference Hall in Kohima brought together key personnel involved in the electoral process, a DIPR report stated. 

The meeting saw the attendance of Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) of Kohima Municipal Council, the Returning Officer (RO) and ARO of Chiephobozou Town Council, along with Nodal Officers, District Level Master Trainers, and Sector Officers, including those in reserve capacities. 

The session was chaired by Lanusenla Longkumer, the RO of Kohima Municipal Council. A briefing was provided by the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS.

Key aspects of the training were delivered by Toshimeren Aier, Deputy CEO from the CEO office. The training focused on ensuring that all officials are well-prepared and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct the elections efficiently and transparently.
