Depts directed not to share files except with designated official
Kohima, June 18 (MExN): Are some officials and staff from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Nagaland, seeking official files directly from various departments without proper authorisation?
An Office Memorandum (OM) issued by the Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Cell) on June 16 suggests so, indicating concerns over protocol violations.
According to the OM, it has come to the notice of the Chief Minister’s Office that certain officers and staff have been directly accessing files from departments, bypassing established procedures.
In view of this, all departments have been directed that “no officers or staff, except the Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister, is authorised to request or call for files from any Department.”
The directive, signed by Nagaland Chief Secretary Dr J Alam, further instructed all departments to strictly adhere to the said protocol.
