UNDP is now UNDSP

Dimapur, December 29 (MExN): The United Naga Democratic Party has rechristened itself ‘United Naga Democratic Socialist Party’. The party today said the rechristening was necessitated after a “thoughtful study” on “the prevailing socio-economic and political situation” of the Naga society. The party said in a note from its president Ntsemo Ngullie, that the main objective of the party is to “bring about unity and reconciliation” and a peaceful solution to the Naga political issue, among others. The UNDSP also invites all “good-thinking people” who desire to bring about positive “changes in the state politics”, to join the party.
