Dimapur, January 9 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has informed that on Tuesday around 9:30 am, a written memo was received from Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur at Government Railway Police Station (GRPS), Dimapur, stating that one person was found lying dead below Fly Over Bridge near parcel office Railway Station, Dimapur.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found one unidentified male (non-local) age around 45-50 yrs (approx) lying dead Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur stated in a press release.
Inquest conducted over the dead body but no any identification cards or mobile phones were found. The deceased is suspected to be a beggar and cause of dead was due to illness and starvation, it stated.
On completion of all legal formalities the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
The deceased was wearing black jean long pant, black jacket with dark green T-shirt and white striped shirt. Claimant, relatives and friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur @7085055021.
