DIMAPUR, MARCH 6 (MExN): An unidentified male was found dead near a rail gate below a flyover bridge outside the railway track area in Dimapur late on March 5.
According to a press note issued by the Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, at around 11:55 PM on March 5, a telephonic information was received from the Station Master, Railway Station Dimapur stating that one unidentified male (non-local), aged around 50 to 55 years, was found lying dead at the rail gate below the flyover bridge outside the rail track.
Following the information, a GRPS duty party rushed to the place of occurrence and conducted an inquest over the body. During the inquest, it was ascertained that the cause of death was suspected due to illness and starvation.
The deceased was found wearing a blue shirt and black pant, the press note stated. After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
