DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): The dead body of an unidentified female aged around 18-20 years was recovered outside the railway track at KM 260 (near over bridge) by Dimapur Police on Wednesday.
A press release issued by PRO, Dimapur police said the deceased is dark complexioned, wearing a pink kurta, silver coloured pant, black shawl (chunni), bracelet (gold colour) on left hand, nose ring (silver colour) on left side of the nose and two tattoos on her left hand-one marked ‘ELAR’ and the other one not legible.
Inquest was conducted over the body and the cause of death is suspected to be due to illness and starvation, the police stated. On completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post mortem examination/identification.
