Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): An unidentified dead body was found lying outside a shop near Dimapur Railway Auto parking on August 16, the Dimapur Police informed today.
The body was recovered by East Police Station duty party after telephonic information was received from GB of Old Over-Bridge Colony, Dimapur at around 6:30AM that an unidentified dead body was lying outside the shop. The duty party found the dead body of the unidentified person (non-local male) aged around 30-35 yrs. (approximately) lying dead in a sleeping position, head face towards the south, with both hands over his chest, the police said.
However, no injuries were found on the body of the deceased, who was found wearing a black shirt with floral print, brown vest, a pair of blue half pants and one pair of green coloured slippers.
According to the police, during enquiry, nearby shop keeper informed that the deceased was seen asking for food and was on intoxicated state in the afternoon of August 15.
On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. The police further informed claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur @7085055020 for further information.
