Dimapur, May 8 (MExN): An unidentified deceased female was recovered from Akito Village, Niuland on May 8. In a press release, the PRO of Dimapur Police informed that the recovery was made after the Office-in-Charge of Niuland Police Station reported the discovery of the body via telephone at around 10:30 am. Accordingly, the police duty party rushed to the spot and conducted an inquest over the dead body in the presence of the concerned village GB.
The deceased was reported to be wearing a blue-coloured t-shirt with white print reading 'Shiv Ganga Hardware Dimapur,' blue-striped track pants, double-strap slide sandals (Flite) with a white and light green sole, and a mixed-coloured beads necklace, the police said.
Upon completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
