Unidentified human remains recovered in Kohima

Kohima, November 23 (MExN): The Kohima Police reported that skeletal remains of an unidentified person were recovered on November 23 in a jungle area of ‘P’ Khel near the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, under the jurisdiction of North Police Station.

In a press release, the PRO of Kohima Police estimated the deceased to be approximately 5.5 to 5.6 feet tall. However, no other details were provided.

All legal formalities have been completed, and the remains are currently held at the North Police Station morgue pending identification, it said.

The police have requested the public, especially those with missing relatives or friends, to assist in the matter. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Officer-in-Charge, North Police Station, at 7005986018, it added.
