Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): An unidentified male, believed to be aged between 40-45 years, was found dead on the railway track in Dimapur near 261/1-2 towards the Khatkhati end on February 27. The Dimapur Police stated that the victim was suspected to have been run over by a moving train.
According to the Dimapur police, the body was discovered when a duty party rushed to the spot after receiving a written memo from the Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur.
The police mentioned that the deceased was wearing light green long pants, a black jacket, a blue shirt, and an ash-colored vest. His complexion was described as ‘dark.’ Upon completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Morgue for a post-mortem examination and identification, the PRO of Dimapur Police stated in a press release.
The release further informed that claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased should contact the Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police Station, Dimapur at 7085055021 for further information.
