Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): An unidentified non-local man, believed to be around 35-40 years old, was found dead inside a marketing shed near Symbios in the Super Market area of Dimapur early today.
According to Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, the East Police Station received a telephonic tip-off from nearby resident of Super market area near Symbios, Dimapur about the deceased, who appeared to be homeless and was lying lifeless inside a mosquito net. A police team promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inquest.
Accordingly basing on the information, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found an unidentified person lying dead aged around 35-40 yrs. (approx.). Inquest was conducted over the dead body.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, stated that no visible injury marks were found on the body, and no foul play is suspected at this stage. Preliminary investigation suggests that the death may have been caused by prolonged illness.
After completing necessary legal formalities, the body was moved to the District Hospital Morgue in Dimapur for post-mortem examination and identification.
