Union Minister reviews Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, March 3 (MExN): The Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation & Cooperation Government of India, Murlidhar Mohol, visited Mokokchung on March 3. The Minister reviewed the programme and policies of centrally sponsored schemes during a meeting with the HoDs & Civil Societies at DC’s conference hall, Mokokchung, stated a DIPR report. 

In his speech, the Minister congratulated the state government and Mokokchung District in particular for implementing the government schemes effectively in spite of the many challenges faced owing to the topography of the state. Mohol mentioned that the present government is committed in uplifting the living standard of all section of people and said that he was eager to work with the state government for all round development. The Minister, appreciating the natural beauty of Mokokchung district, also thanked the people for the hospitality shown towards him and mentioned that, though it was his first time visiting the place he did not feel like an outsider but rather feel at home.

The Minister had a separate meeting with the department of (RCS) Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Later, he visited the proposed Heliport at Ungma Village, Mini Dairy Cooperative Plant at Marepkong ward and proceeded to Impur, where he visited Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Centre. The Minister also visited Etiben Tower & Sungkotenem Park at Mopungchuket Village.
