Kohima, April 27 (MExN): Kohima Town Hotel & Restaurant Union (KTHRU) held a general meeting on April 27 at Kohima and resolved to observe ‘cleanliness day’ of hotels and restaurants within Kohima town on last Saturday every month. The Union also resolved to upkeep toilet, bathroom, and kitchen accessories besides rooms and table free of flies under strict supervision of the proprietor and manager.
KTHRU, president N Theyo stated in a press release that it was also brought to the notice of the members present that Deputy Commissioner, Kohima district has issued ‘no objection certificate’ as required by the Labour Commissioner’s Office for registration of the Union. Membership certificate will be issued to all the hotels and restaurants after registration is done in the Labour Commissioner’s Office.
The house also proposed to give award to the best hotel of the year. It resolved to publish hotel and restaurant directory where details will be provided along with name and address of hotels and restaurants in Kohima town.
Further, it resolved to issue warning to those of hotels and restaurants, which are found unhygienic.
