‘Unite and work together for development & welfare of State’

Kohima, April 22 (MExN): A thanksgiving service was hosted for Advisor, Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Accounts, Dr. Longrineken at his official residence in Kohima on April 20.  

Longrineken attributed his election victory to God, according to a press release. He also extended gratitude to the party men and women under his constituency, the supporters, family, friends and well-wishers.  

Calling upon the people to unite and work together for development and welfare of the State, Longrineken pledged to play a pivotal role of being a leader for the people of the State and particularly the people of Jangpetkong constituency.  

Also speaking on the occasion, Advisor for Industries and Commerce, Imnatiba stated time is changing and people who are humble and passionate about their goals will become better leaders. At such a time, Dr. Longri would be a more relevant leader, he said.  

Pointing out that a leader is a community’s portrait, Imnatiba urged the people to stand with their leader in all respect and expressed hope that a fresher like him will learn many good things from a passionate leader like Dr. Longri.  

Representing the Nagaland State BJP, general secretary, Eduzü Thelüo maintained that the BJP ideology stands for integral humanism and development for all. “Unless people elect the leaders of the party the wishes of development will not be fulfilled,” he added. He therefore thanked the party men and women and well wishers of BJP for electing BJP candidates to be in the government.  

Kohima Jangpetkong Union president and official representatives from Departments of Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Accounts also spoke during the function, which was attended by several invitees, host of government officials, members of various civil societies and well wishers.  

The programme was led by Imjungwati Longkumer, while invocation was pronounced by Rev. M. Asangba Longkumer, Senior Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Church. A special song was presented by Temjen and Anenla. The service ended with benediction by Rev. I Yapang Walling, Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Church.
