Kohima, July 22 (MExN): With the motto “Believe and Achieve”, United 16 Football Club will be participating in the forthcoming Kohima Football League being organized by the Kohima Town Club (KTC). Responding to an invite to participate in the first ever Kohima Football League, the office bearers of all the Youth Organizations of ward 16 – comprising of Lerie Colony, Lerie Chazü, New Ministers’ Hill and New Reserve – held a meeting at Lerie Panchayat Hall on May 3, 2017 and decided upon to form a football club and manage the club collectively. The club was named “United 16 Football Club”; the “United” stands for the four united colonies coming together while “16” represents “ward 16”. United -16 FC is headed by Worhonthung Yanthan as the President and other executives; it also has Advisory board comprising of two members from four colonies of Lerie Colony, Lerie Chazü, New Ministers’ Hill and New Reserve. Chon was elected as the Team Coach and will be assisted by Neizokhrielie Sonchu as Assistant Coach. Vethita and Rengngam were elected as Team managers and Assistant Manager respectively.
