Kohima, October 23 (MExN): The Kohima District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) along with Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama is observing the United Nations Day on October 24 at Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama below St Joseph’s College Autonomous Jakhama.
As per a press release from Thorhu, Warden Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama , the United Nations Day-cum-Legal Awareness-cum-Essay Writing Competition will be held today in commemoration of the day.
The first session would led by Puchole Zaphu Panel lawyer-cum-Advocate with invocation by Thorhu, Warden Tyrannus Boys Hostel. The key note address would be presented by Assistant Professor Kezhokhoto Savi , Advocate, who is also ex-officio member of Kohima District Legal Services Authority.
A special number would be presented by Kohima Law College Evangelical Union Executive and para legal volunteers.
In the legal awareness session, Tiakumla and Keduvi Zhotso, both Panel Lawyer-cum- Advocate would be presenting various topics on legal services including national food security, Article 371A of Indian Constitution, etc.
The session will conclude with benediction by the President of Kohima Law College Evangelical Union. As part of the final session, the Kohima District Legal Services Authority would conduct essay writing competition for the hostellers in which around 40 hostellers are likely to participate. The topic will be given on the spot, the release added.
