DIMAPUR, JANUARY 9 (MExN): Gorkha XI and Hurricane CC won their respective matches at the Unity Cricket T-20 Cup on January 9.
In the first match Gorkha XI defeated Lakers CC by 58 runs and entered the quarter final.
Gorkha XI batted first and scored 118 Runs in 20 overs. Munna was the highest scorer from Gorkha XI scoring 27runs while Pintu and Munna of Gorkha XI took 3 wickets each.
Chasing the target, Lakers CC fell short by 58 runs. Munna of Gorkha XI was adjudged as the man of the match for his 27 runs knock and 3 wickets.
Meanwhile in the second match, Hurricane CC won the match by 120 runs against Nit Nagaland.
In the afternoon Hurricane CC batted first and scored 186 Runs in 20 overs. Rohit Rai was the highest scorer from Hurricane CC scoring 59 runs and took 3 wickets.
Chasing the target, NIT Nagaland fell short of 120 runs and scored just 66 runs before being bowled out. Rohit Rai was adjudged as the man of the match for his 59 runs knock and 3 wickets.
