Tzurangkong, October 27 (MExN): The Tzurangkong Students’ Conference (TKM) hosted a seminar on Human Resource Development under the theme “Unlocking Potentials” on October 26, attracting 150 participants, including youths and students, in the Tzurang Valley, a border region of Nagaland and Assam. The event aimed to harness human resource potential in the area, which is set to emerge as an economic hub for Mokokchung District.

In his address at the formal program, Ao Kakatshir Mungdang President Lanutoshi Aier spoke about overcoming the fear of failure, describing the journey of self-discovery and resilience as key to unlocking one’s potential. He urged participants to actively build their futures, surrounded by inspiring individuals and seizing available opportunities.

SDO (C) and Border Magistrate Tzurangkong, Renbemo T Kithan, highlighted the critical role of human resources in nation-building, emphasizing the importance of skills development for the region’s youth. Kithan noted educational and vocational skill gaps, calling attention to the need for more local engagement in the private sector. He encouraged participants to utilize the guidance of resource persons to enhance their human resource development journey.

The seminar featured talks by experts, including Principal ITI Mokokchung T Imlisunep Ao, Imotemsu Ao (IFS, DCF at ICFRE-Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat), Dr. P Tiatemsu (Associate Professor, Department of Botany, Fazl Ali College), and representatives from the Reserve Bank of India and Moneywise Centre for Financial Literacy. Sessions covered essential job skills, innovative farming, higher education, financial literacy, and strategies for civil service success, empowering Tzurangkong’s youth with practical tools for future growth.
