Unnatural death cases rising in Mizoram

Newmai News Network Aizawl | October 4 At least 176 people died of unnatural death during January to August this year in Mizoram, out of which suicide cases registered the highest. Police record revealed that 62 people committed suicide in 8 months during January to August, which means 35 percent of the total  unnatural death. During the same period, 23 people died of road accidents and 15 died due to over dose or misuse of drugs while 17 people died due to drowning, and 59 people died due to several reasons. In January there were 22 people who died of unnatural death, 17 in February, 21 in March, 26 in April, 31 in May, 20 in June, 17 in July and 22 in August. Police record also said that the highest number of suicide case was caused by depression followed by love affairs.
