UNTA asks Nagaland govt to maintain “status quo”

DIMAPUR, MARCH 26 (MExN): The United Naga Tribes Association has appealed to the Nagaland state government to “pursue its policy of maintaining status quo to the vexed border issue between,” the Nagaland and Assam state governments. This was expressed at a meeting with the Nagaland Minister for Forest and Border Affairs on March 26. A press note from the UNTA informed that the Minister had visited the bordering areas adjoining Dimapur to take stock of the prevailing situation. The UNTA further urged all bordering villages and groups of Naga people residing along the border areas to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the interest of all.
