Wokha, October 17 (MExN): The Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Wokha conducted a health camp at Wokha Town Council Office on October 15. The health camp, which was held in collaboration with District AIDS Programme Control Unit, Mobile ICTC, NUN LWS Wokha, and District Vector Borne Office, provided free health services to Wokha Town Council (ministerial, sanitation and grade IV) staff and business establishment owners.

A total of 87 beneficiaries availed services such as general health check up, RBS, ABO RH typing, HIV, HCV, Hbsag, Malaria, Tetanus, COVID-19 vaccine etc, informed a press release from the office of the Wokha Chief Medical Officer on Sunday.

Dr Thungjamo Jungio, MO, Nyiro Primary Health Centre and Dr Niya Kath, Dermatologist, District Hospital Wokha, along with UPHC staffs, ward ASHAs, Mobile ICTC, surveillance workers and Indian Social Responsibility Network team were actively involved in the health camp. UPHC Consultant, Oponthung Kinghen said the health camp was organised to create awareness on various health issues and provide an opportunity for beneficiaries to avail free health services, the release stated. Meanwhile, the staff of WTC thanked the organising committee and hoped that more health camps would be organised in the days to come.
