UPHC Wokha gets Ultrasonography machine from NEEPCO Doyang HEP

WOKHA, October 26 (MExN): The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited, Doyang donated one Ultrasonography machine to Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Wokha on October 26. 

During the handing over programme held at UPHC Wokha, Head of Plant, NEEPCO Doyang, DC Das said the donation is part of Corporation’s effort to provide medical items and equipments to health centres in Wokha during the pandemic, informed a press release from the Chief Medical Officer's office Wokha.

He also expressed hope that machine will be beneficial to patients, it said. 

T Lankonsen Tsanglao, Additional Deputy Commissioner Wokha, lauded the various public welfare projects undertaken by NEEPCO in the district and sought for corporation between its officials and District Administration in future. 

The ADC also noted that the medical equipment would allow patients to incur less medical expenses and deemed the donation as an important landmark day for UPHC Wokha, the release added. 

 Deputy CMO Wokha Dr Zuben Kikon also extended his gratitude to the NEEPCO Officials on behalf of the medical department and said the machine was a long needed requirement as the centre has been receiving more patients during the pandemic.
