Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): As part of monthly activity, Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Burma Camp and UPHC Duncan Bosti under National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) conducted free medical health camps at Power House, Zakiesatuo, NST, Eros Lane, Walford, and Notun Bosti under Dimapur in the month of January 2018.
A total of 455 patients underwent health checkups and were given consultations and medicine free of cost, informed a press release received here. Tests for Malaria, HIV, RBS, and Hb% were also carried out. Besides, counseling on various important issues such as antenatal care (ANC) and postnatal care (PNC) check up, immunization, proper nutrition etc were given by the nurses.
The release mentioned that UPHC Burma Camp and UPHC Duncan Bosti have coverage of 23 wards in urban Dimapur and conducts free medical camps and Urban Health Nutrition Day (UHND) every month within its jurisdiction.
The teams have thanked the colony council members and the urban ASHAs for their cooperation during the camps.
