Kohima, April 10 (MExN): In continuation of its endeavour to provide free health care to the urban population, a medical camp for the residents of upper Agri-Forest was organized on April 8 by the team at Urban PHC, Seikhazou.
A team of 15 members including Medical Officer at UPHC, NUHM consultant, Mobile ICTC counselor, pharmacist, Lab technicians and nurses and other support staffs conducted free consultations and check-ups for general ailments. In addition, basic diagnostics services like screening for blood sugar, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Blood Grouping, Pregnancy and Hemoglobin test were provided free of cost.
Visitors were given free medicines.
Pamphlets on HIV/AIDS were also distributed in order to create awareness among the public. Patients can also avail free follow-up check-ups at the UPHC located at Seikhazou in the coming days.
A press release also informed that, another camp will be held in Lower Forest colony on April 22. Residents and general public are informed to come and avail the services.
