Urra Area Youth Org 11th annual sports meet commences

Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The 11th Annual Sports Meet 2023 of Urra Area Youth Organisation (UAVYO) got underway at Diezephe Village, Chümoukedima under the theme ‘Breaking the Barriers through Sports.’ The opening ceremony was graced by Hekani Jakhalu Kense, Advisor, Industries & Commerce as the as the special guest on October 25. Addressing the gathering, Hekani stressed on the importance of games and sports and assured to help those having talent in the field of sports.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Mudozhoi Shijoh, president UAVYO while a greeting was shared by Thrilongse Sangtam, president, Urra Area Villages’ Union. Special number was presented by Mulekho Ringa while folk dance was presented by Children Ministry CBC Diezephe. The programme was compered by by Nuvoto Lohe and Nuthitalu Rhakho. 13 Villages-Toulazouma, Seluophe, Singrijan, Khopanala, Diezephe, Tsithrongse, Sangtamtilla, Murise, Urra, Bade, Kiyeto, Razhaphe Basa, Razhaphe are competing in the week long meet. The sports meet will conclude on October 31.
