Ursuline Franciscan Sisters take vow of temporary and perpetual profession

DIMAPUR, MAY 1 (MExN): Ten novices and 7 sisters of Ursuline Franciscan Sisters of North East Province after their intense preparation came forward to consecrate themselves on April 30 at Assisi Auditorium Lake View colony, Dimapur.

Rt. Rev James Thoppil Bishop of Kohima Diocese officiated the Eucharistic celebration and prayed God’s blessings to remain faithful for the call received and their response to God’s call. The vows were pronounced publicly in the presence of Bishop, Priests, Religious sisters, family members, well wishers and the vows were accepted by the Provincial Superior of North East province Rev Sr Benny Fernandes. The whole ceremony was witnessed by almost 800 people. 

During the felicitation programme, Ursuline Franciscan Congregation North East province congratulated the sisters and prayed God’s manifold blessing in their future mission to a sign of peace, love and hope for the new world . The programme was concluded with a fellowship meal.
