USBLA conducts phase II of Clean Election Campaign

The United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimükhong (USBLA) conducted phase II of Clean Election Campaign meeting today at Yangli Mission Centre with official representatives from USLP, USSC, AST, church leaders, council chairmen and Head GBs.  

Kijung, a core committee member of Clean Election Campaign, USBLA, briefed on the set of resolutions laid down in relation to Clean Election. The 'set of resolutions' has been framed to choose the right and uncorrupted candidates, maintaining spiritual and moral integrity, social and economic accountability, he added.  

While making suggestions, Yanghopi, president USLP pointed out that implementing agencies should be formed to execute the resolutions adopted. Encouraging the gathering, he posited that “a leader should have clear vision.” Thsadila, AST President, who also delivered a short speech, called upon the gathering to abstain oneself from the acts of corruption.  

Meanwhile, Rev. C. Lima, Executive Secretary, USBLA encouraged to hold strong to the commitment made and enhance the moral responsibility to be carried out sincerely and faithfully. “Clean election is God's mission for Christianity,” he added. He further informed that USBLA Clean Election Campaign core committee works hand in hand with NBCC.
