The Executive Secretary of the United Sangtam Baptist Lithro Ashimokhung (USBLA), Rev Lima Sangtam today dedicated the retreat centre cum agri & allied co-operative society at Arenthru, Tethuyo 30 Km away from the district Hq Kiphire in the presence of USBLA staffs and well wishers.
Speaking at the dedication programme, Rev Lima Sangtam said that the retreat centre will be the resource centre for people in the district and appealed all to make use of the centre to the maximum benefit for the progress of society. He said that the retreat centre will not only host religious gathering but will also be a place of reasoning and as a place of reflection where families’ individuals and groups can come and get blessed.
Sharing his concern Rev Lima said that the retreat centre is in an infant stage and there are many things that needed to be done collectively to bring up this retreat centre and asked the well wishers to give inputs and ideas so that the centre become a prosperous place for people in and around.
Sharing his vision on the project, Rev Lima also said piggery, plantation, fishery and plantation programme which are the ongoing programme will improve in the days ahead with support of well wishers from outside.
Rev Lima prayed and dedicated the retreat centre building and added, “Christ is the foundation of the building and the centre.”
Rev T. Tsangkhuchu, secretary USBLA sub centre who also spoke on the occasion disclosed the activities going on in the project and also said, the project could come up with the generous contribution of 5 acres of land by the Tethuyo village and said, “if needed the villagers are ready to donate more land for the welfare of the society.”
He also shared on the objective of the centre and that the centre is open for any programme which is progressive and beneficial for the society.
Development secretary USBLA Tsiri, chairmen Mission compound Kiphire Yanglizi and Alemla spoke on the occasion.
