Kiphire, February 14 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC) in a letter addressed to the Principal Director, Directorate of School Education, Nagaland has expressed support to the appeal made by Seyochung Village Students' Union (SVSU) to retain Thripongchum Sangtam (GT) at GHS, Seyochung village.
USSC in its letters stated that the recent transfer of Thripongchum to GHS Phesami on February 6 without a replacement has created a critical gap in the teaching faculty severely disrupting students' education.
It is deeply concerning that Thripongchum, who was transferred to GHS Seyochung Village on February 28, 2024, has been relocated again in less than a year. “Such abrupt and frequent transfers not only destabilize the school's academic environment but also hinder the student's learning progress.”
Moreover, USSC stated that the absence of a qualified teacher will inevitably affect the quality of education, de-motivatIng students and jeopardizing their future.
Therefore, it appealed to the Principal Director to revoke the transfer order of Thripongchum at GHS Seyochung Village to ensure that the students receive the quality education they rightfully deserve.
