DIMAPUR, MAY 22 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC) has demanded the immediate redeployment of Medical Superintendent (MS), Medical Officers (MO), Nurses and other medical staff transferred without relievers under Kiphire district and Longkhim-Chare within 15 days. In a letter to the Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare, the USSC informed that the Medical Superintendent, Medical Officers, Nurses, and other medical staff have been transferred to other districts without their replacement or reliever being assigned to their positions.
This situation has created a significant shortage of medical staff in the district, which adversely affects healthcare services and patient care, it stated. The USSC said that the District Hospital Kiphire (DHK) has been operating without a Medical Superintendent (MS) for 2- 3 months, which interferes with the efficient operation of the office. The conference urged the competent authority to expedite this pressing issue as a high priority and to deploy the required employees within the allocated time frame.
