DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 30 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has served a 15 day ultimatum to the Department of School Education for an SDEO office at Longkhim. A press note from the USSC also criticized the state government for its attitude to the former’s demand when the department of school education in its order dated November 14, 2014 had approved their demand and proposal. The USSC stated that “after a lapse of 5 months long, there has been no positive response from the department despite co-operation extended by the USSC to the department to achieve our common interest.” It cautioned that if the government fails to respond positively and if any untoward incident occurs, “the government shall be solely responsible.”
